You’d be amazed at the number of travellers I see asking for money. Actually, you probably wouldn’t be all that amazed. They’re exactly the kind of people you expect. These assholes aren’t begging for money so their children can eat. They’re not asking you to donate to their travel blog to put themselves through university. They’re not asking for coins because they can’t work. It seems they just want someone to fund their traveller lifestyle. Later on they’ll be sitting around a table at the pub telling others how the universe provides for them because they project positive energy into the world.
I don’t want your money.
OK, that is a lie. I do want your money, but I’m not going to beg you for it. There is no “Donate now” page on this website. What I am going to do is tell you that I am an affiliate marketer for Booking.com and World Nomads.
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?
Basically it means there are links below to those two companies. My affiliate ID is attached. If you, the reader, uses those links from this website and you purchase something, then I get a cut. By the way, you’re looking amazing today. Have you done something with your hair? It’s really working for you. I know you don’t fall for flattery. You’re far too intelligent for that.
SHOULD YOU TRUST ME?
No. You shouldn’t. Why would you? Take everything you read on the internet with a grain of salt. Don’t do something just because I said it was a good idea. However, I will also say that I use both of these companies myself.
In fact, I have to be extremely careful with what I say about travel insurance as I am not an insurance advisor. I can say that it is a good idea to have travel insurance in case something goes wrong and I use World Nomads. I will also say, you should read the policy details to see if World Nomads are right for you. All the text below is direct from their website.
I use Booking.com for a lot of my accommodation. I’m sure people will say there are other options. Of course there are. I also use AirBnB and HostelWorld and sometimes I just Google for accommodation in a city. However, I use Booking.com a lot. They have a large range of options in a lot of locations. For me this means I can choose if I’m going to stay in a hostel or a resort.
Who am I kidding? I don’t stay in resorts…
